LE LEZ PROCESS AND TILLY-SABCO SCOOP
2010 PROCESS ALIMENTAIRE PRIZE
FOR BEST SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT PARTNERSHIP
Awarded at the 2010 CFIA Innovation Trophies gala evening
Process alimentaire magazine awarded its "Best Sustainable Development Partnership” prize to LE LEZ PROCESS and TILLY-SABCO for the installation of a poultry carcass chilling system using a multi-flow air/water mixture, during the CFIA 2010 Innovation Trophies gala evening.
Daniel SAUVAGET, CEO of TILLY-SABCO poultry group, emphasised that this had reduced water consumption by around 700m3/day, a significant amount. This is an exemplary partnership project for LE LEZ PROCESS that could be expanded internationally, especially in dry countries where water saving measures are crucial.
The "Best Sustainable Development Partnership" prize has been organised by Process alimentaire magazine since 2009. "The aim now is not to produce more but to produce more efficiently", the magazine’s editorFrançois Morel declared.
